LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams collected 21 wins and 38 top-3 finishes to sweep Fresno Pacific in their Senior Meet, Saturday at Jim Reitz Pool.

On the women’s side, the Rebels dominated the Sunbirds by a score of 138.50-82.50. On the men’s side, the Scarlet & Gray topped FPU 127-89.

THE RUNDOWN WOMEN:
– Jump starting the women’s swimming wins, the Rebels’ 400 medley relay ‘A’ team of senior Erika Carlson, sophomore Brinkley Hallgren, freshman Ava Knopsnyder and sophomore Grace Wharton clocked a winning time of 3:58.52.
– Claiming the top-3 spots in the 150 fly, senior Cameron Mykkanen took first place (1:28.68), while sophomore Lauren Palacios (1:29.06) and junior Ava Olson placed second and  third (1:29.23), respectively.
– Adding a 1-2 Rebel punch in the 25 free, junior Fernanda Mendez Guerra won the event (11.06) and senior Gina Miller took second place (11.20).

– Collecting multiple individual wins for the Scarlet & Gray, Hallgren dominated the 150 breast (1:45.78) and 75 breast (48.46).
– As part of taking the top-3 spots in the 500 free, sophomore Alyssa Dimitriadis produced a first-place finish (5:12.27). Knopsnyder placed second (5:15.13) and freshman Eefje Irvine took third place (5:15.92), respectively.
– Stacking on more individual Rebel wins were sophomore Halayna Montrichard in the 150 back (1:29.74), junior Dominika Trentkiewicz in the 75 back (40.25) and Carlson in the 150 free (1:21.18).

THE RUNDOWN MEN:- The Scarlet & Gray 400 medley relay ‘A’ squad of junior Wikus Potgieter, sophomore Ty Schneider, junior Nate Thomason and senior Ian Belflower combined for a first-place finish (3:26.99).

– Senior Bryson Huey secured multiple event wins in the 25 free (9.37) and the 75 fly (34.60).

– The Rebels dominated the 150 breast as sophomore Yamato Lucero finished first (1:29.20), while Schneider (1:30.04) and Thomason (1:34.62) followed in second and third, respectively.

– Tallying multiple individual wins, senior Tatsuki Inoue posted a 1:19.55 in the 150 back and a 35.55 in the 75 back.

– Sophomore Kiril Stepanov got in on the action with two individual victories of his own in the 500 free (4:41.73) and 150 free (1:13.37).

– Snatching more Rebel wins was redshirt sophomore Emil Perez in the 150 fly (1:18.24) and Schneider in the 75 breast (40.89).
