BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (Oct. 20, 2025) — Four people were injured Sunday night after a rollover crash on Shadow Hills Drive near Alfred Harrel Highway in Bakersfield.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol the collision occurred just before 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 19th, 2025, just east of Fairfax Road when a single vehicle overturned.
Investigators determined a 17-year-old Bakersfield boy was driving the 2020 white Toyota Camry sedan with three passengers. The group was heading eastbound on Alfred Harrel Highway at an estimated 80 mph in the number two lane.
The teenage driver reportedly lost control of the Toyota, veered to the left and into westbound lanes before rolling down a steep embankment.
Paramedics responded and rushed the driver and his three passengers to Kern Medical Center for treatment of moderate to major injuries.
Detectives are working on the case and stated the driver is cooperating.
Authorities confirmed that alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be factor.
