Sacramento Mayor Kevin McCarty’s First ‘State of the City’

Homelessness, housing, youth and public safety. Those are the issues Sacramento Mayor Kevin McCarty tackled in his first State of the City address, moderated by Insight Host Vicki Gonzalez. In a special two-hour edition of Insight, you’ll hear Vicki’s interview with Mayor McCarty at The Sofia in downtown detailing his vision for the city. 

State of the City Analysis

Following the mayor’s address, Insight will extend another hour with analysis. CapRadio Local Government Reporter Riley Palmer and Politics Editor Chris Nichols will share reaction from community leaders, as well as offer a historical perspective. We’ll also be joined by Sacramento District 2 Councilmember Roger Dickinson and Robert Heidt, President and CEO of the Sacramento Metro Chamber, about the best path forward for the city. And Angela Hassell, Executive Director of Loaves & Fishes, weighs in on Mayor McCarty’s priorities on homeless response.
