The San Joaquin Valley is known for its grit, its generosity, and its grapes. This fall, the region’s agricultural heart will take center stage once again at the 3rd Annual Whole Vine Festival, hosted Nov. 1, 2025, on the Fresno State campus near Barstow and Woodrow Avenues.
The Whole Vine Festival is more than an event; it is a tribute to the hardworking people, rich cultures and vibrant industries that make the Central Valley thrive. The San Joaquin Valley stands alone as the only region in the United States that grows table grapes, raisin grapes and wine grapes in the same region, highlighting our grape industry’s significance both locally and globally. From family farmers to next generation entrepreneurs, the festival celebrates every hand that helps cultivate this “vine to table” legacy.
A Festival in Celebration of Community
Under the canopy of grapevines, guests will experience a full day brimming with local music, art, food, wine and community spirit. This year’s theme, “Celebrating the Valley’s Grape-ness,” captures the essence of what makes our region remarkable: its people. Generations of farmworkers, immigrants and innovators have shaped the Valley’s culture through resilience, humility and hard work — values that continue to define the area today.
The festival also honors the Valley’s diversity. Like a multicolored patchwork quilt, each community contributes its own flavor to the region’s story, building a culture as rich and layered as the soil itself.
What to Expect
Visitors can taste the Valley’s bounty through samplings of grapes, raisins, and locally produced wines that showcase the area’s agricultural excellence. Beyond the food and drink, the event features:
● Local artisan markets highlighting small businesses and handcrafted goods
● Educational exhibits that honor the history and future of grape farming
● A Kids Zone, completely free, where children can explore creative and agricultural activities connecting them to the land
● Live music and entertainment from Valley artists celebrating homegrown talent
Admission and parking are free, making it an accessible celebration for families and visitors alike.
Why It Matters
The Whole Vine Festival is about gratitude. It is a space to celebrate the Valley’s legacy, honor the agricultural workers who sustain it and connect the next generation to the land that feeds the nation. As the agricultural backbone of the United States, including California, the San Joaquin Valley continues to drive innovation, diversity and opportunity in ways that deserve to be celebrated.
