The California Highway Patrol said a Gonzales man is dead and another is facing felony DUI charges after a deadly crash east of Soledad late Saturday night.CHP said the driver and passenger were traveling at an unknown speed on Metz Road/Highway 146 south of Stonewall Canyon Road when the vehicle went off the road and rolled over.Investigators said the passenger, identified by CHP dispatch as 22-year-old Nathan Ruiz, was ejected and died at the scene.Dispatchers identified the driver as 24-year-old Octavio Hernandez of Gonzales.Hernandez suffered minor injuries and was transported to Natividad Medical Center.CHP said Hernandez is facing felony DUI charges.
