Officials have identified an Oakland man who was found deceased near a road in Fairfield.
Fairfield, Maine Police Investigate an Oakland Man’s Unattended Death
Detectives have identified the man as Jason Grant, 46, of Oakland. Authorities have not released any information about how he died.
The Fairfield Police Department was alerted by a 911 caller about a man found on the side of the road who wasn’t breathing, at approximately 8:57 am, on Saturday, January 24.
Maine State Police Invetigate the Discovery of a Body in Fairfield
Officers responded to Martin Stream Road, located the deceased man, and then contacted the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit to aid in the investigation.

Mr. Grant’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta, where an autopsy is planned to determine cause and manner of death.

State Police are asking to hear from anyone who was in the area of the Martin Stream Road in Fairfield and/or Norridgewock on Friday night or early Saturday morning, and may have information that could assist investigators.
