SEATTLE – The Rams’ 2025 season came to a close with a 31-27 loss to the Seahawks in the NFC Championship Sunday night at Lumen Field.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford finished 22 of 35 passing for 374 yards and three touchdowns in the loss. While the Rams had a shot at a go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter, untimely defensive and special teams miscues at other points in the game proved costly. Stafford and the Los Angeles offense got the ball back with 25 seconds left trailing by four, but had to go 93 yards for a potential game-winning drive and without any timeouts left.
Wide receiver Puka Nacua had nine receptions for 165 yards and one touchdown in the loss, while wide receiver Davante Adams had four receptions for 89 yards and one touchdown.
Both teams combined for 875 total yards of offense in the game.
Here is the complete game recap, presented by Toyota:
After the Rams went 3-and-out on the opening drive, the Seahawks used a 51-yard completion from Darnold to Shaheed on the next series to move into Rams territory. Four plays after that explosive pass play, Seattle reached the endzone on a 2-yard run by running back Kenneth Walker III to take an early 7-0 lead.
Los Angeles answered with a deep ball of its own, as Stafford connected with Nacua for a 44-yard gain on the following drive to move L.A. to the Seattle 26. However, three-straight incompletions after that forced the Rams to settle for a 44-yard field goal which cut the Seahawks’ lead to four with 8:15 to go in the first quarter.
