BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — There’s no snow in the forecast locally, but Sunday is the anniversary of the historic snowstorm that blanketed Bakersfield!
Where were you 27 years ago when the streets of Bakersfield got dumped with snow?
On Jan. 25, 1999, Bakersfield residents woke up to find a blanket of snow in the streets. Up to 6 inches of snow fell overnight in some areas, giving kids, some who had never seen snow, a chance to build snowmen in their own front yards.
