Multiple vehicles were damaged and needed to be towed after a power line went down across a Solano County interstate on Monday, according to the California Highway Patrol. CHP Solano said just before 3 p.m., a power line went down across all lanes of Interstate 680, south of Cordelia Road. Officials said several vehicles struck the line and several more collided with other vehicles that were stopping abruptly to try to avoid the line. Four vehicles required tow trucks, and seven vehicles in total were involved. No one was injured, CHP said. Officials said around 4:30 p.m. that one southbound lane of I-680 remained closed.
