FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — The Fresno Police Department arrested 13 drivers on suspicion of driving under the influence on Saturday.

Those charged with a first-time DUI face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, along with a suspended license.

The department announced plans for another DUI enforcement operation on this Saturday, as well as a series of DUI enforcement patrols and checkpoints throughout the year.

Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
