Audacy sports outlet “ESPN 1320” KIFM Sacramento is unveiling a revamped weekday programming lineup effective Monday, Feb. 2, highlighted by the debut of a new local morning show and key daypart shifts designed to strengthen the station’s focus on local sports coverage.
The station is launching “The Jump,” a new weekday morning program co-hosted by Brand Manager Kyle Madson and Jesse Tapia, airing from 7-9am (PT). The show will also re-air from noon-2pm as “The Jump: Rewind.” Tapia, who is stepping into an on-air hosting role for the first time, will continue serving as producer for “D-Lo and KC.”
Afternoon drive will now be anchored by “D-Lo and KC” with Damien Barling and Kenny Caraway, shifting to 2-6pm (PT). The show will continue its blend of energetic sports talk, personality-driven banter and pop culture discussion.
James Ham is also expanding his role as the station’s Sacramento Kings insider, spearheading the station’s coverage of the team. He will deliver breaking news, analysis and regular appearances across “The Jump” and “D-Lo & KC.”
“Jesse brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm for sports, and we’re excited to evolve our lineup with the launch of The Jump, bringing high energy to Sacramento mornings,” Madson said. “By moving the unmatched wit of D-Lo & KC to the full afternoon drive and having James as our Kings Insider across all shows, we’re doubling down on the local insight and personality that defines Northern California sports radio.”
“I’m grateful for the opportunity,” Tapia said. “Hosting is something I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid, and I can’t wait to be on air with Kyle talking sports and just having fun on the radio.”
The station’s revised weekday lineup also includes “Unsportsmanlike” with Evan, Canty and Michelle from 3-7am, “The Rich Eisen Show” from 9am–noon, “Run It Back” from 6-7pm, and the midday replay of “The Jump” from noon-2pm.
