Santa Barbara County authorities have arrested a man who they believe sexually abused patients while working at a nursing home.

The investigation into Kayode Agbolade Ogunba, a certified nursing assistant, began early last November when the facility in Goleta reported that he sexually assaulted two patients while working there, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

Ogunba was involved in similar allegations in the Los Angeles area, and he is believed to have previously worked in other states, including Washington and Texas, according to authorities.

Ogunba was arrested last Tuesday in Los Angeles on a Santa Barbara County arrest warrant.

He may have gone by the name Kay in professional or personal settings, investigators said.

The sheriff’s office said he is currently being held with a $100,000 bail in the Santa Barbara County Main Jail on multiple felony charges, including sexual penetration and elder abuse.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s department at (805) 681-4150.
