BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Police Department made multiple arrests at Sunland Motel after learning some of the rooms were being used to sell drugs.

Chuck Bibb, 60, Sandra Slaydon, 34, Esteban Valdivia, 21, Victor Mora, 24, and Pedro Cabrales, 32, were arrested for various narcotics charges, according to police.

Officers seized $14,251 in U.S. currency, half a pound of suspected fentanyl, several ounces of crystal methamphetamine, cocaine base and a firearm. After investigating, police obtained a search warrant for three hotel rooms that were used for selling narcotics.

Police said the dealers were primarily selling to homeless people.
