BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Additional security and officers were at the Foothill High School on Tuesday after a non-credible threat on social media about possible weapons on campus.
Kern High School District said they were made aware of a social media rumor regarding possible weapons on campus at Foothill High School.
KHSD Police and Kern County Sheriff’s Department have determined the threat is non-credible after actively investigating this incident.
Additional security and police officers were on-site Tuesday as a precautionary measure.
An official with KHSD said, “We take all threats seriously and student safety remains our top priority.”
