20-year-old suspect charged with homicide after Sacramento shooting

(FOX40.COM) — A 20-year-old was arrested for a homicide after a man was shot on Saturday, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Juan Lara was identified as a suspect in a homicide case stemming from reports of a shooting in the 900 block of Eleanor Avenue on Saturday. At the scene, officers found a man who sustained at least one gunshot wound.

Despite emergency medical aid, the victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased after the next of kin have been notified.

Lara was subsequently booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on homicide-related charges.
