Season series: Kings lead 1-0
The Kings won the first meeting in Sacramento 112-101 as an 11-point underdog as the Under (230.5) cashed. F DeMar DeRozan went for 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, while G Zach LaVine was good for 25 points, and F Precious Achiuwa ended up with 20 points, 14 rebounds and 2 blocks. G Russell Westbrook was good for 19 points and 11 assists, too. G Mikal Bridges paced the Knicks with 19 points, while 5 others had double-digit point totals in the loss.
Sacramento has lost the first 2 games on the 6-stop road trip, while splitting 1-1 against the spread (ATS). It was belted 139-116 at the Detroit Pistons Sunday as a 12.5-point underdog as the Over (226.5) cashed. The Kings have dropped 5 in a row, while going 1-4 ATS in the span. The Over has cashed in 4 in a row.
New York won 112-109 over the Philadelphia 76ers as a 1-point favorite Saturday at Xfinity Mobile Arena as the Under (227.5) cashed. G Jalen Brunson rolled up 31 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds with 6 3-pointers. The Knicks are just 2-4 ATS in the past 6 games, and 5-15 ATS in the previous 20 outings. The Under has cashed in 4 straight.

Kings at Knicks picks and predictionsPrediction
Knicks 116, Kings 107
The Knicks (-700) will cost you 7 times your potential return, and that’s way too much risk for not nearly enough reward. There is never a reason to risk that much, and even if you toss it into a multi-leg parlay, there is just no value there.
On the flip side, the Kings (+500) cannot be trusted to spring the upset for a second time. Venue matters, and Sacramento isn’t going into MSG and picking up the win.
AVOID.
KINGS +13.5 (-110) is a strong play catching double digits in this battle.
Again, the Knicks have struggled mightily against the number, going 2-7 ATS in the past 9 games. And, since Dec. 18, New York is a dismal 5-15 ATS in the past 20 games.
For the Kings, they’re 1-4 ATS in the past 5 games, so there is concern. However, as an underdog of 9.5 or more points, Sacto has covered 4 in a row.
The UNDER 231.5 (-105) is worth a look.
The Under cashed in the first meeting Jan. 14 in California’s capital city, as the teams combined for 213 points on a total of 230.5. We might have a few more points at MSG, as Sacramento has cashed high in 4 in a row. But, New York has gone low in 4 in a row, and the Under is 8-4 across the previous 12 contests.
