Four suspects were arrested after two men were found shot to death near Compton Creek in Long Beach.
Long Beach police identified the suspects as:
Jesus Arredondo, 40, of Carson
Stephen Lee Talbot, 42, of Los Angeles
Timothy Garcia, 35, of Harbor City
An unidentified 17-year-old Carson resident
On Aug. 6, 2025, police received reports of a dead body found near the area of Compton Creek and the 710 Freeway around 8:36 p.m. Officers found two adult male victims at the scene with gunshot wounds to their upper bodies. They were pronounced dead by paramedics.
The suspects fled the scene before police arrived. Following an investigation, on Jan. 27, 2026, police announced four suspects had been arrested in connection with the homicides.
On Jan. 15, Arredondo was located in Los Angeles and arrested for murder. He is being held on $1 million bail.
The 17-year-old male suspect was arrested on Jan. 9 in Carson. On Jan. 16, Talbot was arrested in San Pedro and Garcia was arrested in Compton.

Arredondo is believed to be the shooter and the other three suspects were booked for aiding someone who committed a felony. They are being held on $2 million bail each.
The motive behind the murders remains unclear and homicide detectives have not released additional details on the case, including the victims’ identities.
“These arrests exemplify the focus, expertise, and unwavering commitment demonstrated by our Homicide detectives in ensuring suspects are held accountable for their actions,” said Long Beach Police Chief Wally Hebeish. “I want to commend them for their thorough investigation and successful apprehension of the suspects believed responsible for these unacceptable acts of violence.”
Detectives will present the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.
