A new restaurant in Fresno is owned by an internationally recognized chef who has a deep “belief in beef”.

Horn Barbeque opened last week and it already has a loyal following with lines out the door for tri-tip, ribs, brisket and chicken.

Owner Matt Horn is a Fresno native and Edison High School grad, whose Oakland location earned him a distinction in the famous Michelin Guide in 2021.

Then he decided to bring his “Texas meets California” grilling style to his hometown.

“It’s time to come back and invest something here at home and so we had been looking, we have been searching for awhile to find this location, felt it would be the right location and we decided to open up here,” Horn said.

Horn Barbeque is open Tuesday through Sunday.

Plans are in the works to add live bands along with serving barbequed ‘whole hog’ and ‘ox tail’ on the weekends.
