Speeding drivers put lives at risk on Kern County roads

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Speeding drivers are a major safety issue on roads in Kern County.

New Research from LendingTree shows Bakersfield ranks number 7 nationwide for speed related incidents, with excessive speed playing a major role in more than one in four fatal crashes locally.

The data shows that younger drivers and drivers of certain vehicle brands are more likely to speed.
