STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford women’s swimming & diving enjoyed a perfect Senior Day meet on Saturday afternoon, winning each of the 15 events to defeat San Jose State, 226-67.
Following the meet, the Cardinal celebrated its ten graduating seniors – Lucy Bell, Jamie Brennan, Sophie Duncan, Charlotte Hook, Torri Huske, Gigi Johnson, Natalie Mannion, Kirsti McEnroe, Emilie Moore, and Kayla Wilson.
Johnson and Bell led the senior contingent with a pair of victories on the day. Gigi claimed the first individual win of the meet with a season-best 54.42 in the 100 IM, before adding a 100 free title with a time of 48.51. Meanwhile, Bell swept the butterfly events, winning both the 100 fly (51.48) and 200 fly (1:54.03).
Torri Huske added a victory in the 100 breast (1:00.85) in her final home meet, and Emilie Moore capped off her final competition in Avery Aquatic Center by claiming the 1-meter dive crown with a 306.75.
Emily Thompson had a strong showing of her own on Saturday, sprinting to a 50 free title with a 22.70 swim, followed 2:13.09 mark in the 200 breast, while Addison Sauickie claimed the 200 free crown with a 1:46.47.
The meet also featured impressive performances from the Cardinal freshman. Alana Berlin led the field with a 52.60, while Ella Jablonski touched first in the 200 IM (1:58.76) to collect Stanford’s final individual win of the day. Ellie Cole completed the diving sweep for Stanford, scoring a 305.55 in the 3-meter dive.
Stanford continued to flex its muscle in the relays, once again winning both races. The quartet of Johnson, Jablonski, Annam Olasewere, and Levenia Sim winning the the 200 Medley Relay (1:39.62), while the group of Thompson, McEnroe, Huske, and Mannion won the 200 free relay with a 1:29.36 effort.
The Cardinal closes out the regular season next weekend, competing on the road against California on Saturday, Jan. 31 at noon PT.

STANFORD, Calif.—The San José State women’s swimming and diving team had a successful meet at Stanford on Saturday as many Spartans improved their season times, including Ela Freiman who nearly broke her school record in the 100 individual medley.
The 200 medley relay team of Genevieve George, Vilma Lindberg, Lillie Grover and Lais e Silva started the meet by swimming the race in 1:41.75, the second-fastest time this season for SJSU.
Ela Freiman swam the 100 individual medley at 56.78, her fastest time this season and just 0.09 off her school record.
Luna Balbuena swam the second-fastest time this season in the 100 IM at 58.79.
Stephanie Sifferman swam her season-best and second-fastest time this season by an SJSU swimmer in the 200 freestyle at 1:49.73.
George led the trio of Spartan swimmers in the 100 back with a 55.58, the second-fastest time this season.
Dalton Sickon swam the fastest time in the 50 free this year at 23.05.
Nikki Lahey swam the second-fastest time this year in the 100 free at 50.85 to lead SJSU.
Vilma Lindberg finished second in the 200 breaststroke at 2:13.80, her best time this season.
The 200 free relay team of Lais e Silva, Grover, Lahey and Sickon swam the second-fastest time this season at 1:33.24.
UP NEXT – The Spartans return to the SRAC next Saturday, January 31, with a dual meet against Fresno State beginning at 1 p.m.
