The Kern County Public Works has partnered with CalRecycle to host tire drop off events throughout Kern County. During these events, residents can drop off their tires free of charge at participating County disposal sites until capacity is reached.
Te event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

People disposing of tires must follow these guidelines when transporting tires to your nearest disposal site:
•Remove rims from all tires before drop-off.
•Per California State law, transport up to 9 tires per trip.
•Only residential tires will be accepted free of charge.
•No tires from waste tire generating businesses will be accepted.
