
All lanes on southbound I-15 in San Diego reopen after multi-vehicle crash
(FOX 5/KUSI) — A crash involving multiple vehicles caused all lanes of southbound Interstate 15 near Balboa Avenue to be blocked Wednesday afternoon.
According to California Highway Patrol logs, the crash occurred on I-15 between the Kearny Mesa and Tierrasanta neighborhoods of San Diego just before 1:40 p.m.
The crash involved at least two vehicles, one of which was an overturned SUV, per CHP logs and the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
SDFD confirmed two individuals were transported to a hospital for treatment — one for major trauma and the other for minor injury, officials said.

A SigAlert showed traffic on all four lanes have been backed up from Balboa Avenue/Tierrasanta Boulevard up to Clairemont Mesa Boulevard.
All lanes reopened to traffic around 2:30 p.m.
