The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose two-tenths of a cent Thursday to $4.359, one day after increasing one-tenth of a cent.

The average price is 1.3 cents more than one week ago, but 8.8 cents less than one month ago and 14.1 cents lower than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has dropped $2.135 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price recorded its largest increase since rising 1.9 cents Nov. 8, increasing 1.3 cents to $4.256. It is 2.6 cents more than one week ago but 7.2 less than one month ago and 18.3 cents lower than one year ago.

The Orange County average price has dropped $2.203 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price dropped for the second consecutive day following a run of six increases in seven days totaling 6.6 cents, decreasing a half-cent to $2.874. It is 2.4 cents more than one week ago and 4.9 cents higher than one month ago but 24.6 cents less than one year ago.

The national average price has dropped $2.142 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
