FRESNO CO, Calif. (FOX26) — Info is wanted for a murder cold case in Fresno County from 1993.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office says on Monday, July 12th, 1993, deputies were called out to I-5 and Kamm Ave, near Cantua Creek, for reports of a woman found dead.
The woman was found wearing a California Hollywood Rat Race t-shirt, jean shorts and a white cross necklace.
She was also wearing a ring with a photograph of a 3-4 year old boy.
In December 2025, the Cold Case Unit was able to identify the woman as Janet Fay Moore, who was 40-years-old when she was found.

She was found to be born in Nevada, and was living in the Sacramento area from 1971 through 1993.
The circumstances of her death are still unknown.
