Dog found stabbed with knife in its back at a Fresno apartment complex

An investigation remains ongoing after a dog was stabbed several times in Fresno.

Officers responded to an apartment complex on East Pontiac Way, where they discovered the animal with a knife still lodged in its back.

The call came in as an animal complaint.

Authorities learned the dog had bitten several people in the area leading up to the stabbing.

Animal control responded to the scene and captured the dog for treatment.

The animal’s condition is unknown.

It’s unclear whether the person who stabbed the animal will face charges in the case.
