CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) — Clovis police are sharing new details about an investigation that has shut down southbound Willow Avenue at Nees Avenue in Clovis.
Just after 12 p.m., 911 calls came in about a disturbance with possible gunshots in the area of Shepherd and Sunnyside avenues and a description of the getaway vehicle. Police confirm that gunshots were fired, but no injuries were reported.
Officers responded to the area and located a vehicle matching the description. They attempted to pull the car over, but the driver failed to yield.
The suspects crashed near Willow and Nees, ending the pursuit.
Officers have two people detained, one adult and a teen.
Clovis police are asking people to avoid the area or to expect delays.
They say the police activity is not connected to any immigration activity.
