BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Target has announced the grand openings of its newest locations in Bakersfield on Gosford Road and in Delano, scheduled for March 15, 2026.
The announcement comes after the company said in early January that the first-ever Target in Delano would open and a fifth location would be added in southwest Bakersfield in the spring. The stores are part of Target’s initiative to open more than 30 new stores in 2025, and more than 300 by 2035.
Southwest Bakersfield (Panama Lane/Gosford Road)

Store hours:
Sunday-Saturday: 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The approximately 148,000 square-foot location is expected to employ more than 200 people.
Apple, Disney, and Starbucks are brands expected to be featured in the store.
The location will offer approximately 16,000 square feet of fresh produce, meat, and dairy, according to a release from the company.
Delano (321 Woolomes Avenue)

Store hours:
Sunday-Saturday: 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The approximately 148,000 square-foot location is expected to employ more than 190 people.
Apple, Disney, and Starbucks are brands expected to be featured in the store.
The location will also be the “first store in the area to offer an expanded selection of fresh and affordable produce, meat and dairy,” according to a release from the company.
