(FOX40.COM) — An investigation is underway after a bank robbery led to a shooting on Thursday afternoon, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Around 4:30 p.m., SPD was called for a bank robbery in the 1600 block of Response Road. When officers arrived at the scene, they were reportedly involved in a shooting.

According to SPD, no officers were injured. However, the circumstances behind the shooting are unclear. As of 5 p.m., SPD advised the public to avoid the area until further notice.
