The Fullerton Police Department released 2025 annual report statistics detailing the total number of 911 calls, arrests and citations numbers, showing a general decrease in calls to the police department since 2024.

The police department received a total of 43,375 emergency 911 calls last year; the month of May saw the highest call volume with 3,913 calls. 

The department processed 119,949 phone calls in 2025, a decrease of approximately 6.32% from the 127,775 calls received in 2024. Kristy Wells, public information officer, explained that such calls can be made for service or general inquiries.

In 2025, the Fullerton Police Department processed a total of 6,039 arrests, with 571 of those being related to driving under the influence. Comparing these figures to the previous year, 2024 saw a higher total of 6,588 arrests, 551 of those being DUI’s. 

This represents a decrease of 549 overall arrests and a slight reduction in DUI-related incidents within the Fullerton area.Additionally, the Fullerton​​ Traffic Bureau issued 3,622 citations in 2024, a number that subsided to 2,669 in 2025.  

In order to ensure traffic safety and enforcement, the Fullerton Police Department received a $258,000 award from the California Office of Traffic Safety in November 2025 to reduce serious injuries and deaths. 

The program is set to last until September 2026, funding additional DUI checkpoints, enforcement operations focusing on dangerous driving behavior, community preparation and collaboration with neighboring agencies. 

“We are grateful to receive this grant, which will strengthen our traffic enforcement efforts and improve road safety,” said Fullerton Police Traffic Lieutenant Tim Petropulos in a press release. “Through a combination of education and enforcement efforts, our goal is to reduce dangerous driving behaviors, prevent crashes, and make our roads safer for everyone.”

Statistics regarding the number of deaths and injuries related to car accidents in Fullerton for the year of 2025 is not available. However, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety, in 2023 there were a total of 736 deaths and injuries due to car accidents in Fullerton.
