One person died following a multi-vehicle crash in La Jolla Thursday evening, San Diego police said.
Several people called 911 just before 8:30 p.m. to report the crash on Torrey Pines and Hidden Valley roads, near La Jolla Parkway, Sgt. Saum Poorsaleh said. Witnesses reported that four or five cars had collided.
Poorsaleh said police officers and firefighters arrived to find bystanders performing life-saving measures on one of the crash victims. They took over those efforts and transported the person to a hospital, where the person died.
No further information was immediately available.
