FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — The California Highway Patrol is searching for a hit-and-run driver who left a man hospitalized in Fresno County.

The crash happened just after 8 p.m. Friday on Bullard Avenue near West Avenue.

Officers say a man was crossing Bullard when he was struck in front of the north Central Fresno fire station by a white 2016 Honda Accord, which fled the scene shortly after the collision.

The man suffered major injuries and was taken to CRMC, where his current condition is unknown.

Investigators are now looking for the Honda Accord and say it has damage to its front end.

Surveillance video from a nearby business captured the incident and the driver faces felony charges, including hit and run.
