CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State was defeated on both sides by Oakland in the regular season finale on Friday evening. The Grizzlies won on the women’s side 171-129 and the men’s 219.5-74.5.
Before their meet, the Vikings honored their seniors: Oksana Horova, Elle Speed, Ellie Mckibbin, Gracie Chelf, Olivia Leonard, Justin Schneider, Nate Steiner, Aidan Rush, and Tyler Schultze.
WOMEN’S HIGHLIGHTS
Ellie Seiter set the program record and won 3-meter diving with a score of 314.48.
Seiter followed it up later by winning the 1-meter with a score of 293.85.
The Vikings claimed the 200-yard medley relay as Audrey Butcher, Ella Ciez, Skyler Turner, and Gra. Chelf finished in 1:43.89.
Ciez was victorious in the 100-yard breaststroke after touching in 1:04.31.
Ciez claimed her second win of the night in the 200-yard breaststroke, clocking a time of 2:22.55.
Gra. Chelf sprinted to a win in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.36.
Gra. Chelf won her second event of the evening, the 100-yard freestyle, with a time of 51.24.
The 100-yard butterfly saw Butcher put up a winning time of 58.23.
MEN’S HIGHLIGHTS
Daniel Lyngaas claimed the 100-yard freestyle after putting up a time of 46.04.
