Nationally-ranked Etiwanda will put its 17-game winning streak on the line today when the Eagles travel to face Mission Hills in a nonleague girls basketball clash at Grizzly Pavilion in San Marcos. The matchup pits three-time defending state champion Etiwanda (25-2) against a Mission Hills squad (15-8) looking to test itself against elite competition on its home court.
Head coach Stan Delus has guided Etiwanda to another dominant season, with the Eagles riding their current winning streak into one of the toughest stretches of their schedule. Mission Hills, under the direction of 19th-year head coach Chris Kroesch, will lean on senior captain and shooting guard Kalea Bacho to lead the Grizzlies’ effort against the state powerhouse.
