Ashley Herrera Duran Killed in Long Beach Pedestrian Accident on PCH
LONG BEACH, Calif. (Jan. 30, 2026) – Ashley Herrera Duran, 39, was killed after being struck by a vehicle early Tuesday morning on PCH in Long Beach, authorities said.
Police responded on Jan. 27th at 5:57 a.m. to reports of a pedestrian collision near Pacific Coast Highway and Gundry Avenue, just east of Alamitos Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department. Duran was transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Investigators said a westbound 2024 Chevrolet Colorado on PCH struck Ashley Herrera Duran as she walked northbound across the roadway outside a marked crosswalk. The driver remained at the scene and attempted to render aid until paramedics arrived.
Police have not determined whether speed, distraction, or impairment were factors in the crash. The case remains under investigation.
