The New England Patriots have touched down in California.

The Patriots left for the west coast Sunday afternoon. They’ll now spend the week in the Bay Area as they prepare for Super Bowl 60 against the Seattle Seahawks.

New England held a send-off rally at Gillette Stadium prior to departing TF Green International Airport in Providence. Despite freezing temperatures in Foxborough, fans filled in the stadium as owner Robert Kraft, coach Mike Vrabel and quarterback Drake Maye addressed the crowd.

The Patriots punched their ticket to the Super Bowl after a miraculous turnaround from consecutive 4-13 seasons. They defeated the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC Wild Card game, the Houston Texans and their top-ranked defense in the AFC Division game before going on the road and beating the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game.

The Seahawks will pose one of, if not the toughest test for New England. Maye was on the injury report last week with a shoulder injury, as was Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold with an oblique injury.

The injuries are not expected to sideline either quarterback.

Super Bowl 60 will be a rematch of Super Bowl 49 when the Patriots earned a win over the Seahawks after Malcolm Butler intercepted Russell Wilson at the goal line.
