The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Monday for the fifth consecutive day, increasing 1 cent to $4.427.
The average price has risen 7 cents over the past five days, including 1.8 cents on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 6.5 cents more than one week ago, but seven-tenths of a cent less than one month ago and 10.2 cents lower than one year ago.
The average price has dropped $2.067 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price also rose for the fifth consecutive day, increasing 1 cent to $4.339. It has risen 9.6 cents over the past five days, including 2.1 cents Sunday.
The Orange County average price is 9.5 cents more than one week ago and 2.5 cents higher than one month ago, but 14.3 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $2.12 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose a half-cent to $2.875, one day after a four-day streak of decreases totaling 1.8 cents ended when it was unchanged. It is six-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 4.5 cents more than one month ago, but 22.3 cents lower than one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $2.141 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
