In the year ending in August, the median selling price declined in 42% of ZIP codes in Orange County, according to Attom.

Among the 85 local ZIP codes with sales, prices increased in 49 areas while they decreased in 36.

The priciest ZIP with five or more sales wa Newport Beach 92661, with a $4.32 million median. The cheapest was Santa Ana 92701 at $432,750.

Sales were up in 38 ZIPs, down in 44, and flat in four. The busiest ZIP was Laguna Niguel 92677, with 66 sales.

Overall, the countywide median of $1.15 million was flat over 12 months. Total sales of 2,171 were a 1% decrease for the year.
