BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — CHP Bakersfield will host a free Start Smart class for current and potential teenage drivers, along with their parents or guardians, on Tuesday, February 10, at their local office.
A Start Smart class is a two-hour session that discusses safe driving habits, the consequences of poor choices behind the wheel, and tips on how to avoid a crash.
CHP said the class will educate parents and teens on how to better prepare for the stress of being a new driver.

CHP notes that space is limited. Call the Bakersfield CHP Office at (661) 396-6600 to sign up. At least one parent or guardian must accompany the student.
