SAN FRANCISCO —
The New England Patriots are in California preparing to face the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 60.
San Francisco’s Ocean Beach has been a popular spot for tourists and locals ahead of the big game.
Gordon Wu, a San Francisco resident, was among those soaking up the sun.
“When it’s a beautiful day like this, you’re going to have tons of people come out,” Wu said.
Wu, a 49ers fan, said he was disappointed his team didn’t make the Super Bowl, but hosting it is rewarding in itself.
“We’re really bummed that we didn’t get to have our team, especially play at home, but hey, you know, you can’t complain about having the Super Bowl here,” he said.

Nearby Golden Gate Park is another popular spot, with tall trees lining miles of biking and walking trails.
One Patriots fan was spotted at the Bison Paddock, where animals graze.
“Big Pats fan. I normally feel lonely out here in San Francisco,” said Zach Taylor, a Massachusetts native.
Taylor moved to California for work a few years ago and said he is confident in his team.
“I think this is going to be the beginning of the third Patriots dynasty,” he said.
Other attractions drawing visitors include the Golden Gate Bridge, which overlooks the infamous Alcatraz prison, and downtown San Francisco.
An official Super Bowl 60 merchandise truck was at Fisherman’s Wharf on Monday, selling gear.
Staff said sales have been roughly even between Patriots and Seahawks merchandise.
