Northgate Gonzalez Market is hiring ahead of its debut this spring in Chino.
The Anaheim-based grocery chain is redeveloping the former Clark’s Nutrition Natural Foods Market at Mountain Village Plaza at the intersection of Mountain Avenue and Riverside Drive. The Chino store will be the company’s third in the Inland Empire.
Northgate and the city are joining forces to host two job fairs this month, one on Feb. 11 and the other Feb. 25. Jobs are available in various departments including cashier, panadería (bread), carnicería (meat) and tortillería (tortillas).
In addition to the usual groceries, Northgate sells an array of Mexican prepared foods, seasoned carne asada, chorizo, fresh guacamole and the company’s popular carnitas.
Applicants should spruce up (and bring) their resumes to the hiring fairs, with both taking place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the store’s parking lot at 12835 Mountain Ave.
For more information, applicants can go to northgatemarket.com/careers.
Northgate operates 45 supermarkets in Southern California, plus its flagship Mercado Gonzelez store in Costa Mesa.

Kaiser grant helping SAC Health expand services
Kaiser Permanente in January gave SAC Health a $24,000 grant to help the health care provider expand its services in the region.
The grant is part of a larger $3.3 million commitment from Kaiser to bolster San Bernardino “safety nets,” supporting SAC Health, community clinics and school districts that serve low-income and vulnerable populations.
SAC Health said it will use the latest grant to help the most vulnerable community members and its low-income patients.
“This funding allows us to provide services to those without insurance or who lack sufficient coverage, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent individuals from accessing the essential medical care they need,” SAC Health said in a statement to the Inland News Group.
SAC Health also is looking forward to its soon-to-be-opened, school-based clinic SAC Health Wellness Center at Pacific High School in San Bernardino. The clinic will provide primary care and pediatric services to families in that neighborhood.

Car Pros Automotive Group recently wrapped up work on a $2.25 million expansion of its service center at Car Pros Kia Moreno Valley.

Staffing also grew about 20%, the company said, to support the service shop and the rising demand from Riverside County residents.
The dealership also commissioned a mural of Moreno Valley by Patrick Barwinski, a local artist from the city.
“As Kia’s momentum accelerates, we’re investing in the people, training and electrified vehicle expertise needed to deliver exceptional care for every customer who walks through our doors,” said Juan Alarcon, president and chief operating officer of Car Pros Automotive Group.
