BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The California Highway Patrol Bakersfield office is set to host a free two-hour class for new teenage drivers and their parents.

The class is set for Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. at the CHP Bakersfield Office located at 9855 Compagnoni St.

During the class, officials will discuss safe driving habits, consequences of poor choices behind the wheel and tips on avoiding crashes.

Space is limited, call 661-396-6600 to sign up. Organizers said at least one parent or guardian must be with the student.
