Hawai’i starts the game with energy. Dre Bullock takes to the rim slamming one past Bakersfield in his first offensive play of the game. Momentum stays with the Bows as they draw fouls and capitalize on their time on the line. The Warriors’ defense shines, keeping CSUB under 10 points for the greater part of the first half. With 13 minutes left in the first, CSUB earns more fouls than points and Hawai’i pulls ahead. Flashy dunks, aggressive rebounding, and nearly 73% shooting from the free throw line propels the Bows to an 18 point before the half.

The second half was no different. Hawai’i continued to play strong defense  in fact the Bows only gained — they bettered their shooting percentage to 51% from the field and 100% from the foul line. When Hawai’i starters entered foul trouble, the Warriors displayed their depth with the bench contributing nearly half UHM’s score. The Bows hit the boards hard, out-rebounding the Roadrunners 53 to 26. It was a fun night in the Stan as the Rainbow Warriors celebrated a win and Dre Bullock (4) celebrated 1000 career points.
