Theatre School @ North Coast Rep presents ‘Animal Farm’
The Theatre School @ North Coast Rep will present “Animal Farm” Feb. 19-Feb. 22 on North Coast Repertory Theatre’s MainStage.

Valentine’s Day concert in Solana Beach to feature Peter Pupping Band
The Camino Concert Series at St. James in Solana Beach will present a romantic Valentine’s Day evening featuring the Peter Pupping Band on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 7:15 p.m.). The concert celebrates the passion and rhythm of Latin and contemporary music.
This is a free entry community event (donations are graciously accepted to support performers and the concert series). The event will take place at St. James Parish Community Hall (625 S. Nardo Ave, Solana Beach).Charcuterie plates and chocolate covered strawberries will be available for purchase.
Master of floral art to give demonstration
The Village Garden Club of La Jolla hosts Meet the Masters, a presentation, floral demonstration and luncheon led by Lewis Miller, a master of floral artistry, at 10 a.m. March 12 at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar.
Miller, founder of New York-based Lewis Miller Design, creates floral events for Tiffany, Chanel and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, among others, and is known for Flower Flash pop-up floral installations. Tickets are $200. Floral arrangements made by Miller at the event will be auctioned off; proceeds benefit the garden club’s service projects, including Schoolyard Garden Grants and Bouquet of Thanks for Veterans. 3rd Annual Coast and Ranch Book Crawl
All book lovers are invited to help support local libraries by joining the Friends of the Library at Solana Beach, Cardiff, Encinitas and Rancho Santa Fe in the 3rd Annual Coast and Ranch Book Crawl on Feb. 7-14. The participating libraries are all nonprofit organizations, staffed by volunteers and their proceeds support their local libraries, according to a news release.
You can pick up your passport at any of the bookstores and shop to your heart’s content during the week of Feb. 7-14. Each store will be offering specials to those who participate in the crawl. “Keep Del Mar Green” Community Cleanup
Join the Del Mar Village Association and EDCO for the first “Keep Del Mar Green” community cleanup of 2026 on Saturday, Feb. 14, from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Participants will spread throughout the beach areas and nearby beaches to pick up trash that would otherwise end up in waterways, according to the Del Mar Village Association’s website. Meet at the 17th Street Lifeguard Headquarters.

EMTs to give community talk
American Medical Response EMT Max Gonzalez and EMT/community outreach officer Eric Nixon will give a free talk at 6 p.m. Feb. 10 on what to do before help arrives once you’ve called 911. They will also discuss medication management and household safety, including reducing the risk of falling. North County Republican Women to hold breakfast meeting featuring guest speaker
The North County Republican Women (NCRW) will meet for a breakfast meeting Wednesday, Feb. 18 at LaValle Coastal Club, 5690 Cancha de Golf, Rancho Santa Fe. Doors open at 9:15 a.m. for a 10 a.m. meeting. The cost is $25 for members and $30 for non-members. The featured speaker will be Sasha Reva from Turning Point USA – San Diego and Southern California.
Reva is a passionate advocate for freedom, faith, and the next generation of American leaders. As a field representative with Turning Point USA, she oversees 65 Club America chapters across San Diego, Riverside, Orange County and Hawaii, recruiting and training students to stand boldly for their values on campus. Originally from Ukraine, Reva became a proud American citizen and the youngest elected official in San Diego County, serving on the Lakeside Community Planning Group, a news release stated.

‘The Maltese Falcon’ noir classic gets hilarious new treatment at North Coast Rep
A world premiere adaptation by Matthew Salazar-Thompson of Dashiell Hammett’s “The Maltese Falcon” will be presented at the North Coast Repertory Theatre Wednesday, March 4 through Sunday, March 29.

Solana Beach Community Connections to hold February Games Day
Solana Beach Community Connections (SBCC), the City of Solana Beach Parks and Recreation, and Let’s Play a Game Foundation invite all to their monthly Games Day on Thursday, Feb. 12 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. This free event will take place at La Colonia Community Center located at 715 Valley Avenue, Solana Beach.
Mark your calendar, spread the word, and make new friends. Lots of games to choose from such as Mexican Train, American Mahjongg to name a few. Or learn how to play chess. Batiquitos Lagoon presents ‘Human/Wolf Coexistence’
Batiquitos Lagoon will hold a presentation on Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. titled, “Human/Wolf Coexistence,” given by Jacob Keeton, director of education at the California Wolf Center. He will discuss the history of wolf conservation and their role in balancing and revitalizing ecosystems. This free, family event is good for adults and kids age 10 and older. New Village Church Bible Study for moms
Mothers of school-aged children will gather on Tuesday evenings at The Village Church to take an honest look at motherhood’s challenges and experience God’s spiritual transformation in this biweekly Bible study.
