I’m just really grateful to be here, and I just want to have fun with my teammates and do as best as we can,” Throckmorton said about the opportunity.Current and former NFL greats were there to watch the girls take the field, including former Philadelphia Eagles Center and Super Bowl champion Jason Kelce. “Anything we can do to make football more accessible and approachable for women in this country… it’s an awesome game, it’s fun to watch these girls come out and showcase their skills,” Kelce said. Throckmorton hopes to continue playing in college and also has her sights on 2028, when flag football will make its debut at the Olympics in Los Angeles. “That’s another crazy opportunity. I really hope that can happen too. I’m just waiting to see how things play out, and hopefully I’ll get the opportunity to do that as well,” she said.
