Two days after fugitive gangster Rohit Godara claimed responsibility for a bloody shootout in Fresno, California which saw the death of one and injury to another, Sheriff Office, Fresno County has identified the deceased.
The deceased has been identified as Banwari Godara (23). The second victim’s identity has not been released but he is stated to be out of danger.
Months after the split between Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, the rivalry between the two gangsters has led to an all-out war on the streets in Fresno, last Saturday. On target was another gangster, Harry (Hari) Boxer, a close aide of Lawrence Bishnoi.
A day later, Sunday, a viral post was purportedly put out by fugitive gangster Rohit Godara claiming responsibility for the shootout in Fresno. The gangster claimed that he wanted to kill Harry (Hari) Boxer. Godara further claimed one man was killed and another was injured. He also claimed that Boxer ducked behind the states and fled from the scene.
“The man who died after being shot Saturday night has been identified as 23-year-old Banwari Godara (pictured),” Sheriff Office Fresno said in a statement.
“He had recently been living in Fresno, but is originally from San Jose. Detectives have not made any arrests related to his death,” the statement added.
“Around 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 18th, Fresno Police officers responded to a shopping center at Shaw and Brawley Avenues in northwest Fresno. They discovered two men near an urgent care center who were suffering from gunshot wounds. EMS personnel transported both to Community Regional Medical Center. Banwari Godara died and the other victim, a 21 year old, was treated and released,” the statement further said.
Fresno Police later learned the men were shot near a truck repair yard along the 5400 block of S. Cedar Ave., which is located in a county portion of Fresno. Fresno Police contacted the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office to conduct an investigation.
Deputies responded to the truck yard and found evidence of a crime scene. Homicide detectives were then sent to the yard as well. They learned the two shooting victims left from here in a vehicle with another person. They eventually stopped at the urgent care center. No other details are available for release as this remains an ongoing investigation.

Lawrence Bishnoi gang member and close aide, Hari Boxer name first appeared after he threatened a sarpanch in Taran Taran (Punjab) which led to protests in 2023.
A year later two members of the Bishnoi gang were arrested in Jaipur. During questioning the duo revealed that Hari Bishnoi and Anmol Bishnoi had given them the task to extort Rs 10 crore from a businessman in Jaipur.
In May there were reports that Lawrence Bishnoi gang has split with Goldy Brar joining hands with Rohit Godara and forming a new gang overseas. Arzoo Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi and Hari Bishnoi who are based overseas owed their allegiance to Lawrence Bishnoi

Post the shootout in Fresno, an audio clip has been reportedly released by Arzoo Bishnoi (Lawrence Bishnoi brother) and Harry Boxer (Lawrence Bishnoi Aide) threatening Rohit Godara.
The two claim they will soon take revenge against Rohit Godara.
Arzoo : Rohit says Lawrence is a backstabber. We all know who the traitor is. He takes the name for publicity. We will take revenge.
Harry Boxer : I was not in the town. They have killed an innocent boy. I don’t need a weapon. I will kill him with my hands.
