FRESNO CO, Calif. (FOX26) — A close call on Manning Avenue Tuesday morning shows the dangers of driving in dense fog.
CHP Fresno says a diesel tanker driver attempted to cross traffic in low visibility.
A Tacoma driver, traveling at a reduced speed due to the fog, was able to brake just in time, avoiding what could have been a serious or deadly crash.
Everyone involved walked away unharmed.
Authorities are reminding drivers that in foggy conditions, if you can’t see other vehicles, they can’t see you.
