LET’S GET A LOOK AT YOUR FORECAST WITH OPHELIA. YEAH, MIKE, I CAN’T TELL YOU JUST HOW LUCKY WE GOT WITH THE SUPER BOWL FORECAST. IT’S CATCHING THE VERY TAIL END OF THE MILD WEATHER WE HAVE, AND WE’RE ACTUALLY GOING TO NOTICE CHANGES DURING THE GAME. SO KICK OFF AT 330 IN SANTA CLARA. TEMPERATURES RIGHT AROUND 66 DEGREES. VERY COMFORTABLE. LIGHT NORTH BREEZE. HALFTIME SHOW STILL VERY COMFORTABLE DROPPING INTO THE LOW 60S. HOWEVER, WE’LL BEGIN TO NOTICE THOSE CLOUDS MOVE IN. MOVE IN BY THE END OF THE GAME. MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES. TEMPERATURES AT AROUND 56 DEGREES, AND WE’LL NOTICE INCREASING CLOUDS AND SACRAMENTO AS WELL. IF YOU’RE PLANNING ON WATCHING THE SUPER BOWL OR TAILGATING HERE IN TOWN, HIGHS ARE GOING TO BE NEAR 63 DEGREES. AND AGAIN, THOSE CLOUDS ARE GOING TO CONTINUE TO STREAM IN. HERE’S WHAT’S GOING ON ALOFT. WELL YOU KNOW, WE HAVE HIGH PRESSURE THAT’S BEEN STALLED OVER THE WEST COAST. THAT’S WHAT’S RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS MILD WEATHER DAY AFTER DAY. THE EAST COAST HAS ALSO BEEN SITTING UNDER THIS TROUGH THAT’S BASICALLY STALLED OVER THE AREA. AND THAT’S WHAT’S DELIVERING THE COLD AIR, REINFORCING IT WITH STORM AFTER STORM. WELL, OVER THE COURSE OF THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS, THE JET STREAM THAT’S SITTING IN BETWEEN THE TWO PRESSURE SYSTEM IS GOING TO FLATTEN OUT. IN FACT, THAT S-CURVE IS GOING TO FLIP AND IT WILL BE THE WEST COAST TURN TO GET A TROUGH IN THE EAST COAST, TURN TO GET A RIDGE. NOT A VERY STRONG ONE, BUT WARMER WEATHER FOR THEM IN THE FORECAST NONETHELESS. MEANWHILE, TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO SUDDENLY DROP HERE IN SACRAMENTO. WE DIP DOWN TO MID, MAYBE EVEN LOW 60S BY THE START OF NEXT WEEK. SO THIS MILD WEATHER ISN’T GOING TO LAST VERY LONG. ENJOY THE SUNNY SKIES WHILE WE HAVE IT. RIGHT NOW TEMPERATURES ARE IN THE 40S. LOW 50S IN YUBA CITY. TEMPS ARE GOING TO WARM INTO THE MID AND UPPER 60S, AND WE’RE GOING TO STAY THERE THROUGH TOMORROW. THEY’LL BEGIN TO DROP OFF THIS WEEKEND. BR
