Orange County Coast and San Diego County Coastal Areas are the focus of a high surf advisory released at 10:32 a.m. on Thursday by the National Weather Service. The advisory is valid from Friday 10 a.m. until Sunday Feb. 8, at 6 a.m.
The NWS San Diego CA states to expect, “Large breaking waves of 5 to 8 feet, with sets to 10 feet at west-facing beaches.”
“Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. High rip current risk. Minor tidal overflow into parking lots also possible,” according to the NWS. “Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.”
