Kern County court records show Obregon Perez had been cited twice in the past for driving without a valid license and speeding in a 65-mph zone.

On Jan. 31 at around 10:44 p.m., Bakersfield police officers responded to the 4500 block of Ming Avenue for a vehicle versus motorcycle collision, according to officials.

Officers found a male motorcyclist at the scene who seemed to be suffering non-life-threatening injuries.

The white sedan allegedly involved in the crash fled before officers arrived, according to investigators.

BPD said the motorcycle, a black Kawasaki, was traveling eastbound on Ming Avenue when the white sedan made an unsafe turn and caused a collision.

On Sunday at around 1:30 a.m., officers made contact with a woman believed to be the white sedan driver.
