The suspect then crashed at the intersection of O’Hara and De Soto Streets in the Oakland neighborhood, got out and left the scene on foot. The incident caused the University of Pittsburgh to put out an alert to avoid the Petersen Events Center at around 12:30 p.m. That area was eventually cleared. Authorities believe the suspect has already left the Oakland area. An investigation is ongoing. The identity of the suspect has not been released.
